Go ahead and cry.

wow...SO as you may know we are back in the US and living in a missions house in PA. The adjustment for my family has been difficult to say the least. People with good intentions say something, not meaning to hurt or even be hurtful but becomes perceived in a wrong way by me because of my overactive emotional state. While I was in the Dominican Republic and especially in Haiti, I noticed it is not culturally acceptable for a MAN to cry. It is perceived as a weakness."a man's tears should flow in his stomach". From an early age we are taught we should appear strong. For men public expression of grief is unacceptable. But today as my heart grieves for the 22 babies that are in the orphanage in Haiti, as I hear my children pray for their friends on the mountain [laMontana] and long to be with them, as I see the financial turmoil here in America, as I see friends whose marriages are torn apart, as I hear of cancer taking people we love way too soon, as I see a need for unity among the body, as I see families who once held dear the principle of Gods word but have since exchanged them for a lie or a cheap imitation, as I see people's lives sold out for God serving Him in the place at which God has called them face one difficult trial after another, as I see people I love choosing to walk away or in a direction that is apart from God........

Matthew 11:28-30 (New Living Translation)

28 Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

So as I draw near to God He assures me..CRY!!!...He says cry out to Me...

Jeremiah 33:3

Let your cry come to me, and I will give you an answer, and let you see great things and secret things of which you had no knowledge.- Basic English Bible

Jesus is the PERFECT human [GODman] example and crosses all cultural boundaries and as I examine His life especially in the garden of Gethsemene I see His compassion, His concern,His commitment, and His cry. A Man of sorrows aquainted with grief experiencing the weight and literally the cares of the World He loved [Jn 3:16] agony never experienced by any other man before nor will ever be carried again by another man [It is finished] So Cry. Cry out to Jesus. He alone will heal us. His grief gave us life. His life gives us hope.
